ANNE CARLSON

Anne's design approach is a neo-traditional one, informed by her extensive travel growing up in a military family, living throughout the US, Asia, and Europe. Anne has been shaped by this international sensibility, marrying tradition and history with modern lifestyles.

Her core training in studio art brings the importance of composition, color, light, and balance to her interiors. Being a mother of twin boys also has informed her design approach emphasizing function, ease, and maintenance. She likes to say "I can make it pretty all day long but it has to function."

Since Starting her business in 2002 in Chicagoland, she has helped hundreds of clients over the years and worked on a range of projects from the historic Allerton Mansion and Retreat Center, the Bloomington Country Club, to restaurants and bars, offices spaces, apartment complexes, home additions, historic renovations, and new construction.

She lives in Champaign, Illinois with her husband Jeff, twin boys, Everett and Nash ( who are in college), and her Shitzuh, Rueben.

She enjoys drawing, painting, sewing, cooking, gardening, travel, reading, art, fashion and is involved in Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center, Allerton Park and Retreat Center, and the Social Science Club.
